East Atlanta Kids Club Ride the Silver Comet
Ride Leaders, Tony, Idella and Richard led a spirited group of kids from the East Atlanta Kids Club on an exhilarating and slightly wet ride on the Silver comet Trail earlier this month. The kids and adults really enjoy the attention, guidance and motivation from MACC, as commented by Jill Sneider, Executive Director, who also participated in the ride. The East Atlanta Kids Club is a nonprofit mentoring and enrichment program for children ages seven to seventeen who reside in East Atlanta. To learn more about the program, visit EAKC.org.

Rallying for Safer Cycling
Sponsored by the Metro Atlanta Mayors Association (MAMA), Georgia Bikes! and many supporting sponsors, this year's Georgia Rides to the Capitol event was a great success! Thousands of police-escorted cyclists rode into the City of Atlanta from various surrounding neighborhoods to congregate on the foot of the Capitol building in support of safe and better conditions for Georgia cyclists and pedestrians.

Brownwood Bike Rally
Every year, the East Atlanta Kids Club (EAKC.org) hosts their annual Brownwood Bike Rally, where kids and grownups in the community gather to enjoy a fun-filled day of cycling events and activities. This year, MACC helped sponsor the Bike Rally by donating over $2,000 in proceeds from their One Love Century with plans to donate a number of bikes to the club in 2008. EAKC is a non-profit group of neighborhood volunteers who provide mentoring and enrichment programs for kids living in East Atlanta. For more information contact
