6 showed to roll out into “motivational drizzle”.
The official ride distance was 44. Not sure what the average was, I rode to the start and did not reset cyclometer at the end. I’m sure it was low due to the wind and sections where we lowered the pace to keep riiders in contact with the group. One comment picked up from the group was that the "Rainbow" ride could easily be "Larry's Grade School"--I'll take that as a compliment.
I logged 53 or so miles total. Well deserved hot shower and lunch—then a call from Greg that we need to, basically, do it again Sunday!
Overall intend to keep these weekly performance oriented rides going.
It seemed like the temperature really started dropping right after we got back to the finish and I threaded 4 miles through neighborhoods to get home—around noon.
